OHSU Doernbecher Children’s Hospital, one of the nation’s top-ranked children’s hospitals according to US News & World Report, is offering an opportunity for a dynamic leader in Adolescent Health to expand a thriving clinical practice and academic program. The Division Chief, Adolescent Medicine will lead the division that provides essential primary and specialty outpatient and inpatient care to highly vulnerable populations. Specialty care includes eating disorders, gender care, contraceptive and gynecological care, sexually transmitted infections, mental health care, school-based care, and support for transition to adult care.
Reporting to the Chair, Department of Pediatrics, Dr. Dana Braner, the Division Chief will direct the clinical, research, educational, and advocacy activities within a growing, comprehensive, interdisciplinary team. The ideal candidate will have exceptional leadership and communication skills, outstanding clinical expertise, and noteworthy scholarly accomplishments. The Division Chief will oversee the strategic development and performance of the division, including:
Recruiting, developing, supporting, and retaining excellent faculty
Ensuring the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based clinical care to adolescents
Promoting faculty scholarship and research
Collaborating with clinical operations leaders to optimize clinical efficiency and enhance patient experience
Managing faculty clinical productivity
In partnership with the Chair of Pediatrics, assist with the development of annual budgets and revenue projections
Aligning division activities with the policies of the Department of Pediatrics and Doernbecher Children’s Hospital
