Overview
Northwest Permanente, P.C. is currently seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Internal Medicine or Family Medicine physician to join our growing medical group as a Hospitalist-Nocturnist in Portland, OR. This opportunity will primarily support patient care at Kaiser Sunnyside Medical Center. In this role, you will consistently provide high quality, excellent, compassionate and efficient care with sensitivity and understanding for hospitalized patients and their families, seeking to ensure that patients are satisfied with the information and explanations provided regarding their care. You will benefit from a comprehensive network of support services and a talented team of colleagues who share your passion for medicine and patient care.
The inpatient team achieves its purpose by providing acute care to medical patients, offering timely consultation for hospitalized patients on other services and providing admitting/consulting services for Emergency Department patients. We also work to facilitate the transition of care between inpatient and outpatient settings. In addition, we play an active role in improving overall hospital quality and utilization through cooperation with physicians, hospital staff and administration. We work collaboratively with our growing group of approximately 100 hospitalists in WA and OR. We take advantage of opportunities to add efficiency to our work life. We work closely with our RN care coordinators who facilitate smooth transitions from the inpatient to the outpatient setting. We use Epic as the electronic medical record system and our patients' inpatient and outpatient records are immediately available with a single click of the mouse.
