This is a full-time position at the assistant or associate professor, or professor level for an appointment in the Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology, Department of Internal Medicine at Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU). This physician would be joining a team of 10 hepatologists, 7 of who are based at OHSU and 3 at the Portland VA Healthcare System. The program is the one of the largest transplant centers in the Pacific Northwest.
The duties of this position include: providing patient care in Hepatology clinic and endoscopy; attending on the Hepatology consult service; sharing night/weekend call responsibilities with other Hepatology faculty members; and teaching medical students, residents, and fellows during the course of the year.
The duties of this position include: Clinical up to 75%; Administrative: 25%. Additional protected time for research may be negotiated.
Individual must be board certified in Gastroenterology and board eligible or certified in Transplant Hepatology and be able to obtain a valid Oregon medical license. He/she must have completed a course of advanced training in Transplant Hepatology. We offer a competitive compensation and benefits package. The Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology is actively involved in the education, research, and clinical care of Gastroenterology and related medical specialties. The Division supports a variety of activities with specialty clinics in Gastroenterology and digestive health.
